Recycling Debris

recyclingThe first step in our evaluation of a project is to determine what can be salvaged for the existing property and what can be salvaged that others may be able to use in other projects.

Over the years we have consistently provided Building Materials Resource Center with various products like doors, windows, cabinets, appliances, lighting fixtures, plumbing fixtures, etc. that can be repurposed.

The second step is to evaluate what type of material needs to be removed or demolished from the existing conditions of the project. Traditionally, we separated materials by hand, but we don’t have to do that as much thanks to advances in recycling technology.

Today we partner with E.L. Harvey that has a state-of-the-art recycling program. By working with E.L. Harvey, we have consistently been able to recycle 80%-95% of debris. Together with E.L. Harvey, we can generate reports for our clients detailing the specifics of what was removed and recycled.

And finally, throughout the construction process, we are highly attentive to minimizing waste through the building materials that are utilized. We have significant experience in minimizing waste and ordering only what is needed for building materials. Despite our strong processes, we are constantly evaluating improvements to the system.

As a final measure, our office upholds the highest standards in recycling and the sourcing of recyclable products for our use.
