Village Corps
Aedi Construction contributes its expertise in sustainable building practices to help communities in how they construct health clinics, homes, schools, energy generation, wells and sanitation. Currently we are working with our first village in Whittlesea, South Africa. The village name is Zweledinga and it has a population of about 3,000 people. There are 351 students in the grade school and high school. As part of a larger plan for the sustainable development of the entire village, the Aedi Construction team is currently helping with getting toilets in the grade school and in the high school so the children do not need to use the open pit latrines anymore. We are evaluating various options including composting toilets that require no water. If you would like to learn more about Village Corps, please visit our web site at: www.villagecorps.org
